When should I go to therapy?

Normally, you will be able to realize yourself that you are experiencing excessive stress or are unusually tired, down, anxious, having mood swings, experiencing difficulties in your relationships, etc. Other times, someone else may recommend you seek out a therapy consultation. You may have tried different treatments, and some of them might have helped somewhat, but something was still missing; you still weren’t satisfied. Therapy is a tremendous way to understand yourself better, your relationships with others, the ways you cope with distress, and gain insight into the factors that are contributing to your life difficulties. Therapy also provides you with unique cognitive and behavioral tools, which when applied in your life, can help you live more effectively, more happily, and live an overall more fulfilling life.
